Marta Moskova is a Bulgarian artist and designer graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven. She works within the field of craftsmanship, specialising in metalwork and ceramics. A recurring theme in her work are the wonders of nature and interpreting organic forms by putting them through the prism of her imagination and then creating “otherworldly” pieces of art, as well as functional objects that invoke a feeling of awe and fantasy in the viewer. She creates her own language of expression which has the capability to take the viewers into another dimension, allowing them to experience a reality in the physical world which is similar to the one she is envisioning in her head. To her, working with her hands and creating objects in that way is an active form of meditation which allows her to escape from the physical world and instead blend it together with her own world of magic and ideas.

Marta is a tireless maker and doer who thrives in the workshop. To her working hands on with these materials is a pilgrimage. Pushing her own boundaries is what makes her feel alive as a human and artist, and seeing the seemingly impossible become possible gives her the greatest satisfaction. She is a strange combination between a determined maker and a dreamer - by day she’s committed to hard labour in the workshop, and by night she allows herself to get lost in faraway fantasy lands in her head, which she wakes up excited to recreate and bring to the physical world the next morning.
